Vagawanna Know About MU Vagina Monologues
February is known for a V-Day that includes naked babies with bows and arrows, hearts, chocolate, flowers, pink and red. But, there is a different kind of V-Day being represented the same week as Valentine’s Day here at Mizzou. This V-Day has to do with Eve Ensler’s play, "The Vagina Monologues" and the large nonprofit by the same name, which raises money to fund anti-violence organizations that help prevent violent acts committed against women and girls.

Drag Show Do’s and Don’ts
As MU’s Pride Month (lovingly known around campus as Gaypril), sponsored by the LGBTQ Resource Center, comes to a close, make sure you make the most of it by attending a drag show! If you aren’t having a crazy week, congratulations! You are luckier than me. But thank goodness I had a DIY to be a bit of stress buster. I have been obsessed with men’s neckwear for probably my entire life. I owned all those shirts from Limited Too back in the day where they came with the tie with a clasp, and I currently own tie and bow tie necklaces alike.

Glossers, I have a confession to make: I am addicted to TOMS shoes. I currently own six pairs, and I have one of the flags in my dorm room along with their stickers on my planner, laptop, water bottle, calculator and car. The problem is that, like any good shoe, they get a little too much love and start wearing out fast.

Now that you have all the crafting goodies, start by laying your fabric of choice face down and place your bra on top. I did a really rough outline around my bra with a pencil, leaving plenty of room around the edges because you can always trim later. Once I cut out the basic shape of the fabric, I laid it over the bra and folded the excess edges over the inside of the bra.

As the homework piles up and the cold weather calls for snuggly clothes and attitudes, this columnist can always go for some warm, comforting food. But the aforementioned items also make leaving my room much more effort than I would like to exert. Hence, I live out of my food drawer and microwave.

DIY Unchained: Paper Chain Friendship Bracelets
As the five week long break came to a close, this columnist was quite happy with the amount of time spent with family. I was able to hang out with my brothers and cousins of all ages. One of my cousins, Bianca, is 10 years old, and all of her brothers are around the same ages as my brothers. In turn, I get matched up with her when our families are together.

I hope all you Glossers are surviving the beginning of the semester. Even if you aren’t, a good craft will make you feel better. I do all the hard work for you by scrounging around Pinterest to find the crafts that are college friendly, which means using some of the millions of free T-shirts you obtain in your college career (before I finished this column I received a free T-shirt as an apartment promo).

Growing up in Naperville, IL, one of the bigger suburbs of Chicago, I always dreamed about being a fashion designer.

But, one day I realized I didn't have the patience to sew new things everyday and that my true love stemmed from my knowledge of designers, trends and fashion from magazines. My love for journalistic writing was also brought to my attention during my journalism class my sophomore year of high school. Thus, my new dream of being a fashion magazine writer began.

I am a direct admit to the University of Missouri School of Journalism and in the Honors College.

In September of 2012, I helped start College Gloss Mizzou by being one of the first columnists for the Mizzou branch of the national site, College Gloss. I write a DIY column every week and I also update our Instagram.
